Beaches in Cartagena, a list of the best beaches in this city so that you don’t leave them out of your itinerary.

In this other note, we tell you everything you can do in Cartagena, Colombia.

But surely what brings you to Cartagena are its beaches, because it is located north of the department of Bolívar on the shores of the Caribbean Sea.

With blue beaches and white sands, with a warm semi-arid climate and an annual temperature of 29º it is a humid paradise in South America.

So, we are going to list you a series of places that should be on your itinerary:

White Beach (Playa Blanca)

beaches in cartagenaIf you arrive at the island of Barú, you must first spend a few hours on this wonderful beach.

A very crowded place, so we recommend avoiding the crowds by going first thing in the morning, or after 3 in the afternoon.

Another important tip is that you take everything you need for a full day at the beach, because you won’t want to move until you see the sunset!

Although it is so crowded, it is really worth taking a trip to this wonderful place, where you will be able to appreciate a pink beach that plunges into the crystal clear waters of the Caribbean Sea.

Barú Beach

It has an entry cost of 15 euros per person (Value 2020). The only public beach in the area is Playa Blanca.

If you can stay on the Barú Peninsula, you have guaranteed spectacular beaches. The cabins have a cost of 10 euros per day (value 2020).

Island Land Bomb (Isla Tierra Bomba)

It is a great tourist destination, but a large part of its surface belongs to private or private individuals.

The water on this beach is not a virgin paradise like the ones we mentioned earlier, given its proximity to the city. For this reason, it is one of the busiest in Cartagena.
